IRIS Section 508 Compliance Statement

IRIS Health Solutions, LLC (IRIS) is committed to providing technology and electronic information that is accessible to and usable by all. IRIS health information technology (HIT) services are compliant, to the maximum extent practicable, with the accessibility standards of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Section 508 (Electronic and Information Technology Accessibility Standards, 36 C.F.R. § 1194) where applicable.

Section 508, as amended, mandates that federal government acquisition of electronic information and technologies must ensure that these data and technologies provide  access to, and use of, information or data to disabled federal government employees that is comparable to that which is provided to non-disabled federal government employees.  Under this act as well, the federal government is obligated to provide access to electronic information and data to all disabled members of the general public that is comparable to the same access provided to non-disabled members of the public.

IRIS IT professionals are trained and experienced in meeting Section 508 compliance requirements.  IRIS HIT services provided to the Federal government, including all relevant design, development, testing, and documentation efforts, comply with Section 508.  Where appropriate, IRIS employs Use Cases to measure accessibility in order to ensure adherence to Section 508 compliance.

IRIS is committed to providing technology and electronic information that is accessible to all disabled employees of the federal government and federal electronic information available to the general public.
