My role within the ONC was to support a patient matching program that cuts through the complicated tangle of patient records. We investigated algorithms that would identify multiple records to be a single patient and merge them into one complete patient file. As well as developed best practices for intake at clinic sites to reduce the amount of duplicative patient files being developed.
